Cerro Condorpuna – Lonya Grande, Amazonas
In the heart of northern Peru’s Amazonas region, in the district of Lonya Grande, rises Cerro Condorpuna, a mountain whose Quechua name means “the hill where the condor rests.” From its slopes, surrounded by biodiversity and unique microclimates, comes a coffee that reflects both the strength of the condor and the richness of the Amazonian soil.
Cerro Condorpuna is a community lot, the result of collaboration between several producers working at altitudes between 1,600 and 1,900 masl. Their dedication is evident in every step: selective handpicking of ripe cherries, an average fermentation of 36 hours, and slow drying in solar tents, which preserve and enhance the cup’s complexity.
The result is a vibrant and balanced profile: bright citrus notes, juicy tropical fruits, and a deep sweetness reminiscent of algarrobina (carob syrup). A cup that combines freshness, complexity, and a long, velvety aftertaste.
This coffee is brought to market by Gocta Coffee, a company committed to connecting coffee-growing communities from Amazonas and Cajamarca with roasters around the world. For Gocta, each lot is more than just coffee—it is a story of families who cultivate with patience and care, and of a land that still has much to reveal to the world of specialty coffee.
With Cerro Condorpuna, we invite you to discover Lonya Grande: an Amazonian origin where tradition, nature, and excellence come together in every bean.
