Don Yurán Rojas and his brothers are the fourth generation of coffee growers in one of the most recognized areas in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica for the cultivation of the golden bean. Carrizal de Alajuela is part of the high zone of the Central Valley of Costa Rica; its climate and volcanic soil make it perfect for the production of specialty coffee. The farm is located at an altitude of over 1,400 meters above sea level. The Rojas Brothers have been associated with Coopelibertad for many years. Recently they decided to join the Microlots project and with this they have started an adventure in the world of specialty coffee. In Coopelibertad we feel proud that every day more producers are able to improve the quality of their coffee and with this open the doors to a direct commercialization market with roasters and importers from different parts of the world.
