The coffee story

In the mountains of northern Peru, between 1650 and 2010 meters above sea level, lies the village of Gramalotal de Chingama, situated in the district of Bellavista, in the province of Jaén, Cajamarca region. This sun-kissed place, enveloped in the rich biodiversity of the region, is the birthplace of an exceptional coffee, meticulously and passionately cultivated by our coffee-growing partners.

Gramalotal de Chingama is not just a name; it is a story of dedication and effort. Here, 32 member producers work the land with love and commitment, which is the main reason for obtaining the best coffee beans. This community is much more than a group of farmers; they are guardians of flavor and tradition, united under the management and commitment of the Ecoforest Agricultural Cooperative.

Ecoforest is not just a cooperative; it is a symbol of sustainability and progress. With its constant technical support, it has transformed the agricultural practices of Gramalotal de Chingama, driving productive improvements that respect and protect the environment.

The magic of Gramalotal de Chingama coffee lies in its origin. Each bean is cultivated with the utmost care, from seed selection to harvest. The mountains of Jaén, with their ideal climate and fertile soil, impart a unique character to this coffee, distinguished by its smooth taste and complex notes that delight the palates of those who try it.

This coffee is not just a product; it is a story that travels from the heights of Cajamarca to the cups of consumers worldwide. It is the result of the hard work, resilience, and passion of a community that has made coffee their life and legacy.

Gramalotal de Chingama and the Ecoforest Agricultural Cooperative are writing a new story in coffee production, a story of quality, sustainability, and empowerment. From the heart of Jaén, their coffee carries the essence of the land and the spirit of its people, creating connections that transcend borders and bringing a piece of Peru to the world.
