The coffee story

I inherited the Fundo Ortiz in 2015, at that time it had old coffee trees of the Tipica variety. It was in 2018 that I changed the old coffee trees of 1 hectare for new ones of the Gesha and Limani varieties. In 2020 we had the first production of the Gesha, it was 1 Quintal. This year 2021 we have obtained 5 Quintales. My parents were the first generation of Coffe farmers who created the farm.

The process

After harvesting my coffee i Pulp the coffee and ferment it for mor than a day and than dry it for 30 days in African beds on the farm.

Quality comment
Algrano
Well balanced and sweet, with multilayered citric-tartaric acidity, medium-high, bright, medium coating body and lingering finish. Complex- with notes of red berries, citrus fruit, forest fruit and red ripe fruit, tiny bit winey, reminding us of very light red wine. Finish is long and rooibos like.
