The coffee story

This natural coffee comes from an organic farm where high quality varieties grow at 1.650 masl under fruit and timber shadow trees. The farm is located in front of the Celaque natural park and surrounded by forests.  The quality of the coffee is also assured by the picking of the cherry at its optimal ripeness and following a washed process that has been improved throughout out the years to be able to extract the best coffee. Socially, the GAIA coffee farm develops multiple actions including infrastructure, equipment, scholarships, food donations, technical training among other activities directed to the workers and their families. Environmentally, GAIA farm performs under organic practices, uses and promotes the use of organic inputs for coffee farming, and protects the forest of the farm and the surrounding ones.

The process

Coffee is picked at its optimal ripeness, dried for 2 days under the sun at a yard and taken to a solar dryer to continues drying it.
