A Rwandan Legacy Rooted in Coffee certified Organic and Fairtrade

COOPAC Ltd was officially founded in 2001, but for us, coffee is more than a business , it’s part of our family story. My grandfather, Nzungize Gérard, was among the early coffee growers in the hills of Rwanda. He passed down not just knowledge, but a deep belief that Rwandan coffee could stand among the world’s best , if we honored both the land and the hands that cultivate it. From that legacy, COOPAC was born. Today, we work with 5,525 of smallholder farmers in the Rubavu and Rutsiro District near the shores of Lake Kivu and Rulindo District. We focus on specialty, organic, and fairtrade coffee but just as important is how we grow: sustainably, ethically, and with care. We support our farmers with access to organic inputs, health insurance, education programs, and long-term partnerships. Every bean we export carries the story of community, resilience, and pride. Three generations later, our mission remains the same: to share Rwanda’s finest coffee with the world and make sure the people behind it grow with it.
