The coffee story

We are a coffee-producing family in the Andes mountains of Pichincha, Ecuador. Our farm is a lush agricultural paradise known as Siempre Verde Farm, which means "always green" in Spanish. Here, our coffee is nurtured in a unique microclimate and carefully harvested through a process of picking and sorting by hand. The result is a delicious specialty coffee that reflects our commitment to quality and our love for what we do.

Our farm is located about an hour and a half north of “the middle of the world” (the equator), near the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve. Our coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,500 m.a.s.l. in shared lots with a variety of native flora, including many fruit trees such as avocado and numerous types of citrus. We believe in honoring the natural environment in which our coffee grows, so our coffee flourishes in the partial shade provided by the nearby plants. It's not only the flora that enjoys our land but also the fauna—we have even seen a few Andean bears among our fruit trees and coffee, hence the name of this microlot: Oso Andino.

To us, coffee is more than just a product. It's our way of impacting and uniting our farming community. We focus on socially responsible, ethical practices that protect our team as well as our environment. We believe in the importance of recognizing a person's work with fair and just compensation, which is why we are intentional about the way we approach employment. Although labor laws in Ecuador can be challenging, we make the conscious decision to provide full-time employment, consistent schedules, and benefits as well as stability and a positive work atmosphere. We not only work with the people of our local community but also for them, serving them in additional ways where we can.

We are one family, coming together to bring the world a cup of coffee that conveys our passion and dedication with every sip. We love building relationships and getting to know people from all parts of the coffee industry, so please reach out if our coffee is intriguing to you! You can also find us on social media @siempreverdefarm if you would like to learn more of our story and see what life at the farm is like. Saludos, amigos!
