Café Directo is a proud family-owned business dedicated to the production, processing, and export of specialty coffee from the renowned Tarrazú region in Costa Rica. Founded by Gerardo Arias, a passionate fourth-generation coffee producer, the company benefits from the dedication and love for tradition of his children, representing the fifth generation of coffee growers in the family. With over 30 years of experience in the coffee industry, Café Directo was established in 2013 with the mission of offering the highest quality micro-lots of coffee. Our dedication is reflected in every stage of the process, from cultivating our own farms to directly exporting our products. We manage every part of the chain, ensuring that each coffee bean receives the utmost care and attention. We operate three production farms planted with the finest coffee varieties, producing an annual average of 1,200 bushels of coffee. In addition, our farms include areas dedicated to the conservation of nature and wildlife, highlighting our commitment to the environment. From a young age, Gerardo has nurtured a deep connection with the land. At 15, he planted his first coffee crops, and in 1990, he acquired and transformed his father's lands into thriving coffee plantations. Today, we continue to expand our farms, planting over 25,000 coffee plants of various varieties at high altitudes. Café Directo specializes in creating unique micro-lots, including anaerobic, natural, honey, washed, semi-washed, and aerobic processes, with scores ranging from 85 to 89 points.
