Bemen is a leading coffee exporter of both commercial and specialty-grade coffee. Our story begins with our founders Berhanu and Menbere (Be-Men), who have been married for 25 years. Like many Ethiopians, Berhanu and Menbere have had a lifelong passion for coffee. They started Bemen Coffee to share their passion with the rest of the world. Today, Bemen's offerings include coffee from the major coffee-growing regions of Ethiopia. We are committed to providing the best quality coffee. Bemen Coffee is a woman-run business organization. We are committed to leveraging the power of business to empower women and create sustainable opportunities for them. A good portion of Bemen's revenue provides scholarships to high-scoring students from rural Ethiopia to help them attend university. Bemen also pays its farmers a premium on the current market prices to encourage sustainable production and ensure that local rural Ethiopians benefit from Ethiopia’s precious gift—Coffee.
