 The family's history with coffee began with the great-grandfather, Pietro Pasti, and since the beginning their main activity has been farming, but the land has also been used for subsistence farming:planting rice, beans and other food for family use. Despite their coffee tradition, the production of specialty coffee started in 2005, aiming to improve the quality and add value to the product. The younger generation shows interest in continuing the work of their ancestors , learning new techniques in order to improve product quality every day .Their efforts have been rewarded several times in regional competitions, which encourages them to continue. The harvest period takes place from June to November, and it may even extend until December. Selective harvesting is carried out by father João and son Leonardo, who share land ownership, and is divided into three to five stages, aiming at better yield. Concerned with the environment, part of the property is a natural reservation, with native vegetation from the Atlantic Forest.
