El Retiro

El Retiro was a farm abandoned by its previous owners. In 2017 Estuardo Falla Castillo rented the farm and decided to completely replant the farm, starting from scratch with a long-term, sustainable vision focused on quality. Varieties such as Bourbon and Caturra were planted, which he knew very well, and it was decided to experiment with Anacafé 14 and Marseillesa, which are varieties more resistant to rust. The farm is surrounded by the Aguacapa and Las Cañas rivers and the clean water from the same river is used to irrigate the farm. Little by little the farm has become a family environment, where Estuardo enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. For Estuardo, the most important thing is family time, and he is proud that his next generations can see the evolution of the farm as a result of hard work and a clear vision.
