The coffee story

We have named our project “Tutu nKakao” which means “working together” in Mixtec language, our native tongue. Our coffee is grown inside the Sierra Mixteca in Oaxaca. This Mexican region is renowned for its exceptional quality in cup and long history in organic cooperativism. We are a group of producers formally working together since 2018. Our story merges inclusion of young people and more experienced ones, of women and men. Since 2019 we have also incorporated biodynamic activities to our organic production. In 2022 we had our first local bread oven constructed by ourselves to step-up in food production. We have always grown our corn, beans and many fruits as a parallel activity to coffee production.
