The coffee story
On the slopes of Mount Elgon in Western Kenya, there is a small cooperative called Kikai.
Farmers in Kikai planted their first coffee trees in 1959. Today, the cooperative has two wet mills named Kikai and Kutere. The coop is located within the Namwela division on the Southern slopes of Mount Elgon, lying at the Kenya-Uganda border.
