Wenago is one of the most densely populated districts in Gedeo, with approximately 1.500 people per square kilometre. Situated between 1700m and 2000m above sea level, Adame Garbota co-operative is in a relative lowland area of the Gedeo zone. The co-op started operating on December 13th and manages to secure good loans to pay for collection of cherry. The area has been cultivated for over 100 years with farmers being passed from father to sons.
