The coffee story

Desta Golo has been selling this coffee since 2014. His farm in Yirgacheffe sits between 1,900 and 2,000 meters above sea level. His farm is located in the Gorbota micro-region of the Dodora kebele in the Wonago woreda, Gedeo Zone. He is a father of four sons and three daughters. Desta holds his own organic certificate.

Desta used to be a part of the Adame Garbota Cooperative, which is under the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. Konga Coffee is an Ethiopian company and exporter working exclusively with coffees from the Yirgacheffe region. It is a startup company bringing a lot of experience to the table. Takele Mamo, the founder and manager, worked for 12 years as the General Manager at Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU), the third largest cooperative union in Ethiopia. As a farmer, Takele works closely with growers who deliver cherry to many washing stations in the region and can offer to roasters a wide selection of single farm coffees. various. Konga's objective is to supply specialty coffee directly from the farmers to high end roasters across the globe. The company has an office in Addis Ababa and a primary production site at the Konga micro-region, where the wet mill is and special natural preparation takes place. Quality comment
Algrano
Super interesting and elegant with a selection of different spices (clove, bergamot, black and green pepper), florals (jasmine) and forest fruit topped with apricot jam. Balanced out with malic supportive acidity and smooth body. Great complexity, this is a special one.
