Zakiya-Rose, CEO of Great Rift Coffee, has always worked to honour Kenyan heritage while embracing thoughtful innovation. This lot is a perfect expression of that balance. Grafted Ruiru 11  and SL28 trees were selected for their resilience and vibrant flavour potential, offering a modern interpretation of two iconic Kenyan varieties. 

To showcase their character, we used a simple low-intervention anaerobic method: ripe cherries fermented in food-grade barrels for three days, turned gently throughout, then dried slowly on raised beds under the Nandi Hills sun. 

The result has exceeded expectations, a testament to how Kenyan varieties, when handled with intention and care, can reveal an entirely new depth of expression.
