Idedo is a town located in Yirgacheffe Woreda, 10 Km Northeast of the city of Yirgacheffe. Yirgacheffe woreda is one of eight woredas found in the Gedeo Zone. Every coffee produced in the Gedeo Zone is a Yirgacheffe Type coffee. Unlike Sidama coffee, Guji Coffee, Harari coffee where the coffees are named after the ethnic group residing within the area, Yirgacheffe coffee isn't named after the Gedeo people who live in the area. It's named after Yirgacheffe city, the second largest city in the Gedeo Zone. 

Idedo and the surrounding highlands are known for producing the finest quality Yirgacheffe Type coffee. This is due to its high altitude and relatively cooler temperature. Typically, Naturals from Idedo have berry like and winey flavor and bright acidity.
