Producir con calidad el café de Fraijanes

Somos un grupo de caficultores trabajando unidos en la Cooperativa UNION CERRITEÑA DE PRODUCTORES DE CAFÉ(UCCAFE). Estamos ubicados en el municipio de Fraijanes, Guatemala; Centroamérica. Nuestras tierras son aptas para la producción de un aromático grano de café cuya taza ha sido reconocida por su calidad. Esta región productiva es denominada Fraijanes Plateau debido a la ubicación rodeada por los volcanes Agua, Fuego y Pacaya quienes así mismo han aportado características únicas a nuestros suelos. UCCAFE renace en 2016; actualmente teniendo 26 miembros activos que dedican gran parte de su vida a continuar la tradición de cultivar café utilizando tanto prácticas ancestrales como técnicas modernas para estar vigentes en el mercado actual, siendo ecológica y socialmente responsables. Cultivamos principalmente las variedades Bourbon, Caturra y Catuaí. Producimos en conjunto un promedio anual de 1,800quintales de café pergamino (1,150 quintales de café oro),empleando procesos de beneficiado húmedo y secado al sol. Nuestra oferta está conformada por lotes que son el resultado de la mezcla cualitativa de todos nuestros productores y también trabajamos micro lotes de variedades seleccionadas cuyas características de taza obtienen punteos SCA 85.5+. En esencia somos una organización cafetalera con la misión de producir con calidad para dar a conocer el café de Fraijanes hacia diferentes regiones y cautivar el paladar de quienes disfrutan una buena taza del mismo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are a group of coffee growers working together in the Cooperativa UNION CERRITEÑA DE PRODUCTORES DE CAFÉ (UCCAFE) . We are located in the municipality of Fraijanes, Guatemala; Central America. Our lands are suitable for the production of an aromatic coffee bean whose cup has been recognized for its quality. This productive region is called Fraijanes Plateau due to its location surrounded by the Agua, Fuego and Pacaya volcanoes, which have also contributed unique characteristics to our soils. UCCAFE is reborn in 2016; currently having 26 active members who dedicate a large part of their lives to continue the tradition of growing coffee using both ancestral practices and modern techniques to be current in the current market, being ecologically and socially responsible. We mainly grow Bourbon, Caturra and Catuaí varieties. Together we produce an annual average of 1,800 quintals of parchment coffee (1,150 quintals of gold coffee), using wet milling and sun drying processes. Our offer is made up of batches that are the result of the qualitative mix of all our producers and we also work micro batches of selected varieties whose cup characteristics obtain SCA 85.5+ scores. In essence, we are a coffee organization with the mission of producing with quality to make Fraijanes coffee known to different regions and captivate the palate of those who enjoy a good cup of it.
