Our brand is named Zenith Coffee because it is located at one of the highest grounds in El Salvador. We are Karla and Alvaro, 5th generation of coffee producers and we manage Las Neblinas Estate Coffee, made of two small but very productive farms in Apaneca, El Salvador: Finca Puerto Arturo and El Carmencito.
They date from 1875 when Alvaro's grandfather bought them. He passed them down to his mother and, in 2014, Karla's father acquired it from and gave it to us as a gift. Our sons will be the 6th generation. They are proud of our roots and will keep the family traditions.
The farms are located at the Cordillera Apaneca-Ilamatepec, one of the most popular coffee-producing regions in the country and known as the "Golden Belt". We sit next to the Cerro Grande de Apaneca where we have a panoramic view of the Cordillera del Bálsamo.
We renewed 85% of our trees in 2014, dedicating our land to specialty varieties with great potential for cup quality in order to produce excellent coffees.
